PALMA, Spain (Interstat) — CD Baleares U19 and Gim Tarragona U19 will open their Copa del Rey Juvenil campaigns on Thursday in a Round of 64 match pitting two Spanish youth sides with long layoffs from competitive action.

The match, scheduled for Oct. 30, 2025, at a venue in Palma, is the first in the prestigious national youth knockout tournament for both clubs this season. Official records for the competition show both teams at 0-0-0.

Neither side has played a match in the 2025-26 season across any competition, making current form a mystery. Gim Tarragona U19 last took the field over a month ago, securing a 1-0 victory over Gimnàstic Manresa U19 in a friendly on Sept. 21.

CD Baleares U19 has been out of action for far longer, with its most recent result dating back to May 4, a 4-2 win against Barcelona U19. The extended break for both squads adds an element of unpredictability to the fixture.

According to the Interstat game simulator, CD Baleares U19 is projected to advance with a 2-1 victory. The home side will look to leverage its local support, while the visitors aim to start their cup run with an upset on the road.

The winner will advance to the Round of 32 in Spain’s premier youth cup competition.
