MADRID (Interstat) — A youth soccer matchup in the Copa del Rey Juvenil on Thursday pits a dominant national academy against a lower-tier club riding a wave of momentum.

Puerto de Vega will host Celta de Vigo U19 on Oct. 30, 2025, in a round of 64 fixture of Spain’s premier youth knockout tournament.

The visiting Celta de Vigo U19, the youth side of the top-flight LaLiga club, enters the competition with a perfect 2-0-0 record across all competitions this season, including a 4-1 victory over Roces U19 on Sept. 27. Their most recent result was a 0-0 draw with Arosa U19 on Oct. 8.

Puerto de Vega, however, brings confidence from a decisive 4-0 victory over Alberite in its tournament opener on Sept. 27. The club holds a 1-0-0 record in the Copa del Rey Juvenil and is undefeated across all competitions this season.

Despite Puerto de Vega’s strong start, statistical models favor the visiting powerhouse. Interstat’s game simulator projects a 4-1 victory for Celta de Vigo U19.

The match will be a classic test of a professional club’s elite youth system against a motivated local club seeking a major upset on its home field.
