BORÅS, Sweden (Interstat) — In a stunning Allsvenskan upset on Sunday, visiting Storfors AIK Fot defeated IF Elfsborg 3-0. The result defied projections that heavily favored Elfsborg, which had an 81 percent probability to win according to Interstat’s ELO system.

Substitutes powered the victory. Johan Hove scored twice and Erik Flataker added a goal. Elfsborg, playing at Borås Arena, was shut out in its season opener. The loss marks a disappointing start for the home side, while Storfors begins its campaign with a surprising win.
