STOCKHOLM (Interstat) — Visiting Sirius opened the Allsvenskan season with a 2-1 upset victory over Norrkoping on Saturday at PlatinumCars Arena. The result defied pregame projections that heavily favored the home side. Joakim Persson put Sirius ahead in the 49th minute, and teammate Leo Walta doubled the lead just eight minutes later. Norrkoping’s Tim Prica scored a consolation goal in second-half stoppage time. The win gives Sirius a perfect start to the Swedish top-flight campaign, while Norrkoping begins the season with a loss.
