GOTHENBURG, Sweden (Interstat) — IFK Goteborg delivered a commanding 3-0 victory over Halmstads BK in an Allsvenskan match at Örjans Vall on Sunday, defying pregame projections.

All three goals for the visitors came in a dominant second-half stretch. Substitute Tobias Heintz opened the scoring just before halftime in the 45th minute. Substitute Kolbeinn Þórðarson doubled the lead three minutes later in the 48th, and fellow substitute Benjamin Brantlind sealed the win in the 86th. Defender Rami Kaib and forward Rocco Ascone each recorded two assists in the win.

The result was an upset, as statistical models heavily favored Halmstads BK to win. The loss leaves both Swedish clubs seeking their first win of the season.
