STAVANGER, Norway (Interstat) — Viking opened its Eliteserien season with a dominant 5-1 victory over Valerenga on Sunday at Lyse Arena. The home side overwhelmed the visitors, scoring four unanswered goals after the match was level early. Edvin Austbø opened the scoring for Viking in the 10th minute, but Valerenga equalized five minutes later through Martin Roseth.
