ENSCHEDE, Netherlands (Interstat) — FC Twente looks to capitalize on its home pitch when it hosts a struggling Atletico Madrid Femenino in a UEFA Women’s Champions League group stage match on Thursday.

The Dutch side enters the contest at De Grolsch Veste stadium following a 1-1 draw on the road against Sport Lisboa e Benfica on Nov. 12. Twente (1-2-1) has shown resilience this season, including a 1-1 draw against powerhouse Chelsea W at home on Oct. 8.

Atletico Madrid (1-2-1), however, arrives in the Netherlands under pressure after consecutive 1-0 losses in the competition. Most recently, they fell 2-1 at home to Juventus FC on Nov. 12, preceded by a 1-0 home defeat to Manchester Utd W on Oct. 16. Their lone group stage win was a 6-0 rout of Saint Polten W.

According to the Interstat game simulator, Twente is projected for a narrow 1-0 victory.

The match is a crucial fixture in a tight group. Following this game, Twente travels to face Arsenal W on Dec. 9, while Atletico Madrid hosts Bayern Munich W in its next Champions League outing on Dec. 10.
