SEVILLA, Spain (Interstat) — Substitute Salih Özcan and Deniz Gül fueled a second-half comeback as Turkey rallied for a 2-2 draw with Spain in a World Cup qualifier on Tuesday at Estadio La Cartuja de Sevilla. Dani Olmo gave Spain an early lead in the fourth minute before Gül equalized just before halftime. Özcan then put Turkey ahead in the 54th, only for Mikel Oyarzabal to level the match eight minutes later. The result defied pregame projections that heavily favored the Spanish side.
