KOŠICE, Slovakia (Interstat) — Tomáš Bobček scored in the first minute of second-half stoppage time to lift Slovakia to a 1-0 victory over Northern Ireland in a World Cup qualifier on Friday. The dramatic winner at Košická Futbalová Aréna came after Northern Ireland played the final moments with 10 men. Defender Daniel Ballard received a second yellow card in the ninth minute of stoppage time after initially being booked in the 23rd minute. The result avenges Slovakia’s 2-0 loss to Northern Ireland from the previous month in the qualifying tournament.
