Norway Routs Estonia in World Cup Qualifier Behind Haaland, Sørloth Scoring Spree
OSLO, Norway (Interstat) — Norway opened its World Cup qualifying campaign with a decisive 4-1 victory over Estonia on Thursday at Ullevaal Stadion. The hosts erupted for four goals in a 14-minute span in the second half. Alexander Sørloth opened the scoring in the 50th minute and added another two minutes later. Erling Haaland then scored twice, in the 56th and 62nd minutes, to put the game out of reach. Estonia’s Robi Saarma, a substitute, scored a consolation goal for the visitors just two minutes after Haaland’s second. The result far exceeded the pregame projection, improving Norway’s record to 1-0-0 in the competition while Estonia fell to 0-1-0.
