OSTERSUND, Sweden (Interstat) — Ostersunds FK opened its Superettan season with a 2-0 victory over Trelleborgs FF on Saturday at Jämtkraft Arena. Midfielder Simon Marklund led the hosts with a goal and an assist. He set up Jabir Abdihakim’s opener in the 34th minute before scoring himself in first-half stoppage time. The result defied a pregame projection from Interstat, which had forecast a 1-1 draw. Ostersunds improved to 1-0-0 in the Swedish second division, while Trelleborgs fell to 0-0-1.
