SCHWEINFURT, Germany (Interstat) — Erzgebirge Aue opened the 3. Liga season with a 4-2 victory over FT Schweinfurt on Saturday at Willy-Sachs-Stadion. Substitute Marcel Bär scored twice to lead the visitors. Sebastian Müller notched a goal and an assist, scoring in the 27th minute. Erik Weinhauer added a goal in first-half stoppage time, and Jannic Ehlers scored in the 70th minute. For Schweinfurt, Johannes Geis scored. Ryan Malone and Luan Simnica each had an assist. Müller, Simnica and Malone all received yellow cards. Aue improved to 1-0 overall and in league play, while Schweinfurt dropped to 0-1 in both.
