VOLENDAM, Netherlands (Interstat) — Telstar defeated Volendam 2-1 on Sunday at Kras Stadion in an Eredivisie match.

Anthony Descotte gave Volendam the lead in the second minute. Danny Bakker equalized for Telstar in the 44th minute. Ronald Koeman scored the go-ahead goal and recorded an assist for Telstar.

Koeman entered as a substitute. Tyrese Noslin, Nick Verschuren and Yannick Leliendal each contributed assists.

Yellow cards were issued to Leliendal in the 27th minute, Verschuren in the 50th, Noslin in the 61st and Koeman in the 89th.

Telstar improved to 1-0 in the competition and across all competitions. Volendam fell to 0-1 in both categories.
