AMSTERDAM (Interstat) — Utrecht scored two goals in the final 10 minutes of regulation and stoppage time to overtake Ajax 2-1 on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at Johan Cruijff Arena in an Eredivisie match that reversed a late deficit.

Ajax opened the scoring in the 81st minute when substitute Niklas Vesterlund found the net, with substitute Jesper Karlsson providing the assist. The home side held the lead for only three minutes. Utrecht equalized in the 84th minute on a goal by Wout Weghorst, assisted by substitute Dani de Wit. Utrecht snatched the victory in the sixth minute of second-half stoppage time when Mike van der Hoorn scored, with midfielder Sean Steur credited with the assist.
