PSV Dominates Feyenoord in Eredivisie Season Opener
EINDHOVEN, Netherlands (Interstat) — PSV opened its Eredivisie campaign with a commanding 3-0 victory over rival Feyenoord on Sunday at Philips Stadion.
The hosts scored three times in a blistering seven-minute first-half span. Defender Armando Obispo opened the scoring in the 10th minute, followed by goals from midfielders Guus Til in the 13th and Ismael Saibari in the 17th. All three goals were assisted by substitutes.
Feyenoord, which finished the match with 10 men after Gonçalo Borges’ red card in the 84th minute, was held scoreless. The result defied a pregame projection that forecast a closer contest, as PSV began its domestic season with a perfect record while handing Feyenoord an initial defeat.
