BUCHAREST, Romania (Jan. 29, 2026) (Interstat) — FCSB and Fenerbahce SK played to a 1-1 draw Thursday in a Europa League group stage match at Arena Naţională, a result that defied heavy pregame projections.

Fenerbahce substitute İsmail Yüksek opened the scoring in the 18th minute. FCSB midfielder Yuri Cisotti equalized in the 71st minute, assisted by Ederson. Both scorers also received yellow cards in a physical match featuring four cautions.

The draw contradicted statistical models that heavily favored the Romanian side. Each club earned a point, beginning their European campaigns with identical records across all competitions.
