MALMO, Sweden (Interstat) — Malmo FF and GNK Dinamo Zagreb played to a 1-1 draw in Europa League group stage play Thursday at Eleda Stadion. Oscar Lewicki gave the hosts the lead in first-half stoppage time, but Dinamo Zagreb’s Cardoso Varela scored a dramatic equalizer in the sixth minute of second-half stoppage time to split the points. The result defied pregame projections that heavily favored Malmo to win. Both clubs opened their European campaigns with a draw and remain unbeaten early in the season across all competitions.
