LOGROÑO, Spain (Interstat) — A spot in the next round of the Copa del Rey Juvenil is on the line Thursday when UD Logroñes hosts SD Ponferradina in a first-round match.

Both Spanish youth sides enter the knockout tournament with identical 0-0 records in the competition and across all matches this season. The fixture represents the competitive debut for both teams, whose previous official result dates to Jan. 1, 1970, according to available records.

The single-elimination nature of the cup adds immediate pressure, where a draw is not an option and the season begins with a must-win mentality.

According to the Interstat game simulator, SD Ponferradina is projected to advance with a narrow 1-0 victory. This forecast suggests a tightly contested match where defensive solidity may prove decisive.

The match is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025.
