ORENSE, Spain (Interstat) — UD Ourense will host Pontevedra U19 on Wednesday in a first-round match of Spain’s Copa del Rey Juvenil, with both sides looking to advance in the national youth knockout tournament.

The matchup at Ourense’s home ground pits a local senior side against an under-19 academy team from Pontevedra. Neither club has yet played a game in this season’s cup competition, leaving both with 0-0 records in the tournament.

Pontevedra U19 enters with positive early-season form, having opened its campaign across all competitions with a victory. Their most recent result was a 3-2 win over Pabellón Ourense U19 on Sept. 24.

UD Ourense, meanwhile, looks to rebound from a defeat in its last outing, a 1-0 loss on the road against Marino de Luanco on Sept. 21. The senior side is still seeking its first win of the season across all competitions.

According to the Interstat game simulator, UD Ourense is projected to advance with a 2-1 victory.

Kickoff is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2025.
