MADRID (Interstat) — Two Spanish youth sides will open their Copa del Rey Juvenil campaigns on Tuesday when CD Logroñes hosts Real Racing Club.

The first-round match at a venue to be determined in Logroño, Spain, pits the youth academies of two historic clubs. Both teams enter the domestic cup competition with identical 0-0 records for the season, as neither has played a competitive match in the 2025-26 campaign.

According to Interstat’s game simulator, the visitors are projected to have a slight edge, with a final score prediction of Real Racing Club 1, CD Logroñes 0.

The historical data available for the clubs is limited. CD Logroñes’s most recent recorded result was a 0-0 draw against Barakaldo on May 16, 2004. No recent result was available for Real Racing Club.

The Copa del Rey Juvenil features the youth teams of clubs from across Spain, providing a platform for the nation’s top young talents. The single-elimination format of the tournament adds pressure from the opening whistle, where a single goal can decide which team advances and which sees its cup run end.
