ISTANBUL (Interstat) — A titanic clash at the top of the Turkish Süper Lig is set for Saturday as undefeated leader Galatasaray hosts a surging Trabzonspor at Rams Park.

Galatasaray (9-0-1) has been nearly flawless domestically, holding a two-point lead over second-place Trabzonspor (7-1-2). The home side’s form extends across all competitions, where they boast an 11-1-1 record, including a notable 1-0 victory over Liverpool in the Champions League on Sept. 30.

Trabzonspor arrives in Istanbul on a strong run, having won three consecutive league matches, including a 2-0 victory over Eyupspor on Oct. 25. Their only loss this season came against rival Fenerbahce on Sept. 14.

The matchup pits the league’s most potent home side against a formidable away opponent. Galatasaray has outscored opponents 13-1 in its last four home Süper Lig matches. Trabzonspor, however, has proven resilient on the road, with its lone blemish a narrow 1-0 defeat.

According to Interstat’s game simulator, Galatasaray is projected to win 2-1. The result could have significant implications for the title race, with Galatasaray looking to maintain its perfect start and Trabzonspor aiming to close the gap at the summit.
