AYR, Scotland (Interstat) — Ayr United and Ross County opened their Scottish Championship campaigns with a 0-0 draw at Somerset Park on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026.

The match failed to live up to its statistical projections, as Interstat’s simulator had forecast a 2-1 win for Ayr United, who held a 70.10% win probability in its ELO ratings. The stalemate leaves both clubs with identical early records of 0 wins, 0 losses and 1 draw across all competitions.

The game was marked more by cautions than clear chances. Five yellow cards were issued, with Ayr’s Ben Dempsey and George Oakley booked in the first half. Ross County substitutes Levis Pitan and Kaedyn Kamara received late cautions in stoppage time.
