Ulsan vs S'frecce Hiroshima
SEOUL, South Korea (Interstat) — A key early-season AFC Champions League match pits two unbeaten sides against each other Tuesday as South Korea’s Ulsan hosts Japan’s S’frecce Hiroshima.
Both teams enter the continental clash with identical 1-0-0 records in the competition. Ulsan is coming off a 2-0 domestic victory over Gwangju on Saturday, continuing its perfect start across all competitions. Hiroshima arrives after a 0-0 draw with FC Tokyo last Friday, a result that snapped a two-game winning streak in which it did not concede a goal.
The matchup features Ulsan’s potent attack, which has scored two goals in each of its first two competitive matches this season, against a stout Hiroshima defense that has posted two clean sheets in its last three outings.
According to the Interstat game simulator, the contest is projected to end in a 1-1 draw.
The game is the first of a crucial double-header in the group stage for both clubs. Ulsan will next travel to face Japan’s Vissel Kobe on Nov. 5, while Hiroshima will host South Korea’s Gangwon on Nov. 4.
