VEENENDAAL, Netherlands (Interstat) — GVVV and Amsterdamsche W played to a 1-1 draw Saturday at Sportpark Panhuis in the Tweede Divisie.

Amsterdamsche W struck first when substitute Osa Okunbor scored in the 15th minute. GVVV equalized just before halftime as midfielder Quincy Veenhof found the net in the 45th minute. Neither side could break the deadlock in the second half.

Both teams opened their season with a draw, moving to 0-0-1 in the Tweede Divisie and across all competitions. The result defied pregame expectations, as Interstat’s game simulator had projected a 2-1 victory for GVVV, and its ELO system gave the home side a 69.40 percent probability to win.
