HSV Hoek Hosts Almere City in Tweede Divisie Clash
HOEK, Netherlands (Interstat) — HSV Hoek will look to build on a dominant victory when it hosts Almere City on Saturday, April 25, 2026, in a Tweede Divisie matchup at Sportpark Denoek.
Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. local time.
HSV Hoek (10-7-3 in its last 20 matches) enters the game on a high after a 5-1 thrashing of Amsterdamsche W on April 18. That result extended Hoek’s momentum, following a 2-0 shutout of VV Katwijk on April 4. Hoek’s recent form shows four wins in its last five games, including a 3-1 victory over HHC Hardenberg on March 14.
Almere City (8-10-2 in its last 20) bounced back from a 1-0 loss to Spakenburg on April 11 by defeating Jong Sparta 3-0 on April 18. The win snapped a three-match losing streak for Almere, which had dropped games to NAC Breda, VV Katwijk and De Treffers in March.
The teams met most recently on Nov. 22, 2025, with Hoek winning 2-1 on its home ground. Interstat’s game simulator projects a repeat, forecasting a 2-1 Hoek victory.
Almere City’s attack has been inconsistent. After scoring four goals against NAC Breda on April 4, it managed just one goal in its next two games before the three-goal outburst against Jong Sparta. Forward production will be key against a Hoek defense that has recorded two clean sheets in its last four outings.
Hoek’s offense, meanwhile, has found its rhythm. The team has scored at least three goals in three of its last six matches, including a 5-1 demolition of Amsterdamsche W.
Both teams are chasing position in the middle of the Tweede Divisie table. Hoek sits in seventh place entering the weekend, while Almere City is 10th.
Following Saturday’s match, Almere City returns home to host RKAV Volendam on May 9. Hoek next faces SteDoCo on May 8 before a Saturday match against Barendrecht on May 9.
