GVVV hosts VV Ijsselmeervogels in Tweede Divisie clash

VEENENDAAL, Netherlands (Interstat) — GVVV will look to shake off a lopsided defeat when it hosts VV Ijsselmeervogels on Saturday, April 25, in a Tweede Divisie matchup at Sportpark Panhuis.

GVVV (5-7-1 in its last 13 league matches) enters the game reeling from a 6-0 drubbing at KVV Quick Boys on April 18. Prior to that, the home side had shown resilience, posting a 3-0 victory over Jong Sparta on Feb. 28 and a 2-0 clean sheet against Excel Maassluis on March 21. However, inconsistency has plagued GVVV, with losses to HHC Hardenberg (2-1) and ACV (2-1) in the same span.

VV Ijsselmeervogels (3-8-2 in its last 13) arrives in Veenendaal following a scoreless draw with Excel Maassluis on April 18. The visiting side has struggled offensively, managing just two goals in its last seven outings, including a 4-0 loss to Jong Sparta on March 21 and consecutive 1-0 defeats to Koninklijke UD Deventer and De Treffers. Ijsselmeervogels did earn a 2-0 win at RKAV Volendam on April 11 and a 2-1 victory over HSV Hoek on March 28.

The teams last met on Nov. 22, 2025, when GVVV won 3-0 on the road. Interstat’s game simulator projects a 2-1 victory for the home side.

Saturday’s contest marks the beginning of the final stretch for both clubs. GVVV travels to Kozakken Boys on May 9, while Ijsselmeervogels hosts HHC Hardenberg that same day.

Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. local time.
