ASSEN, Netherlands (March 28, 2026) (Interstat) — ACV opened its Tweede Divisie campaign with a 2-1 victory over GVVV on Saturday at Sportpark ICT Specialist, overcoming a late equalizer with an even later winner.

Substitute Ilias Latif broke a scoreless deadlock for the hosts in the 60th minute. GVVV’s Luca Broers leveled the match in the 90th minute, but ACV responded almost immediately. GVVV’s Quiermo Dumay, who assisted the tying goal, received a yellow card in second-half stoppage time.

The result defied a pre-match projection that favored GVVV. ACV begins the league season with a win, while GVVV starts with a loss.
