GROESBEEK, Netherlands (March 7, 2026) (Interstat) — De Treffers and Amsterdamsche W opened their Tweede Divisie campaigns with a 1-1 draw Saturday at Sportpark Zuid. The result defied pre-match projections that heavily favored the home side.

Amsterdamsche W forward Sebastiaan van Bakel opened the scoring in the 32nd minute. De Treffers equalized in the 81st minute through a goal by substitute Delano Gouda, assisted by fellow substitute Yanic Wildschut. Both assists in the match were provided by players introduced off the bench.

The match featured yellow cards for Amsterdamsche W’s Sven Ederveen and De Treffers’ Wildschut in quick succession around the 40th minute. Interstat’s pre-game model had given De Treffers an 83.8% chance to win, projecting a 2-1 victory. The draw leaves both teams with identical 0-0-1 records to start the season.
