Preview: De Treffers Host VV Ijsselmeervogels in Tweede Divisie Clash

NUNSPEET, Netherlands (Interstat) — De Treffers will seek to avenge a prior loss and capitalize on home advantage when they host VV Ijsselmeervogels in a Dutch Tweede Divisie match on Saturday.

The visitors won the most recent meeting 2-0 on Sept. 20, but both sides enter with contrasting recent form. De Treffers is coming off a confidence-boosting 2-0 road victory over KVV Quick Boys on Feb. 7. Their home form has been strong, with a 4-1 win over Excel Maassluis and a 4-2 victory against VV Katwijk in recent months.

VV Ijsselmeervogels, however, looks to rebound from a disappointing 2-0 home defeat to Kozakken Boys last Saturday. That result snapped a modest three-match unbeaten run in league play that included a 4-2 road win and a 3-0 home victory. Their season has been marked by inconsistency, with heavy losses interspersed with high-scoring wins.

A statistical projection from Interstat forecasts a 2-1 victory for the home side.

The matchup is critical for positioning in the third-tier league table as the season progresses. Following this contest, De Treffers faces a trip to Kozakken Boys on Feb. 28. VV Ijsselmeervogels will host VV Katwijk on the same date.
