Nordsjaelland Opens Season With 5‑0 Rout of Silkeborg in Danish Superliga

FARUM, Denmark (Interstat) — Nordsjaelland began its Danish Superliga season with a dominant 5-0 victory over Silkeborg on Sunday at Right to Dream Park.

The match turned decisively when Silkeborg’s Robin Dahl Østrøm received a red card in the 17th minute. Nordsjaelland capitalized with four first-half goals. Runar Norheim opened the scoring in the 24th minute, followed by defender Peter Ankersen in the 41st. Forward Ola Solbakken added another in first-half stoppage time.

Alexander Lind scored the final goal in the 68th minute. Solbakken finished with two goals, while Ankersen had a goal and an assist. The lopsided result defied a pregame projection that favored Nordsjaelland but forecast a closer contest.
