Silkeborg vs Randers
COPENHAGEN, Denmark (Interstat) — Two Danish Superliga sides seeking momentum will meet Sunday when Silkeborg hosts Randers FC at JYSK Park.
The matchup comes after both teams suffered scoreless outings in their most recent contests. Silkeborg (X-X-X) fell 2-0 at home to ASA Aarhus last Friday, while Randers (X-X-X) played to a 0-0 draw with Odense BK on Monday.
Randers enters with a slight psychological edge, having won the last head-to-head meeting 1-0 on Aug. 3. However, their form has been inconsistent. They have managed just one win in their last five league matches, a 2-1 victory over Viborg on Oct. 5, and have been held scoreless in three of their last four outings.
Silkeborg’s season has been marked by dramatic swings. They earned a stunning 3-1 road win over powerhouse FC København in October but followed it with a 4-0 loss to Midtjylland. Their attack, which exploded for five goals in a cup match against Kolding in September, has been shut out twice in their last three games.
According to the Interstat game simulator, the contest is projected to end in a 1-1 draw, suggesting a tightly contested affair between two evenly matched sides.
Following this match, Randers will host ASA Aarhus on Dec. 7, while Silkeborg will travel to face Nordsjaelland the same day.
