AMSTERDAM (Interstat) — A clash of clubs in contrasting form is set for Thursday when VV Eemdijk hosts Amsterdamsche FC in a first-round match of the KNVB Beker Women’s tournament.

The matchup pits an Eemdijk squad that has started its season perfectly against an Amsterdamsche FC side that has yet to kick off its competitive campaign.

VV Eemdijk enters the cup tie with a 2-0 record in this competition, having outscored its opponents 6-1. The club is also 2-0 across all competitions this season, most recently earning a 2-1 victory over SV Excelsior’31 on Sept. 23. That result followed a dominant 4-0 win against VV Dongen on Sept. 3.

Conversely, Amsterdamsche FC’s record in the KNVB Beker, as well as across all competitions, stands at 0-0. The team has not played a competitive match in the 2025-26 season, making its current form a significant unknown.

Despite the disparity in recent results and activity, a statistical projection from Interstat’s game simulator forecasts a narrow 1-0 victory for the visiting Amsterdamsche FC.

The match is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025, with VV Eemdijk as the designated home team.
