GEMERT, Netherlands (Interstat) — A clash between two teams on divergent paths opens their KNVB Beker Women campaigns Tuesday as the undefeated VV Gemert hosts the yet-to-play Fort Sittard W.

The first-round Dutch Cup match pits a Gemert squad riding a wave of early-season momentum against a Fort Sittard side whose official record remains a blank slate. Gemert enters the contest with a perfect 2-0-0 record in all competitions this season, including two victories in this tournament.

Gemert advanced with a 1-0 win at SV Meerssen on Sept. 23 and a 2-1 home victory over SV Huizen on Sept. 3. Fort Sittard, in contrast, has not played a competitive match this season. Its most recent result was a 2-0 preseason friendly win over Germany’s 1. FC Mönchengladbach on Sept. 8.

The statistical service Interstat projects a narrow 1-0 victory for the home side, a forecast that aligns with Gemert’s demonstrated form and home-pitch advantage.

Fort Sittard, a professional club from the Eredivisie Vrouwen, will be tested immediately by a confident Gemert team that has shown a knack for grinding out results. The visitors will need to overcome potential early-season rust to advance.

The match is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2025.
