BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Brunei (Interstat) — Sabah defeated DPMM 1-0 on Saturday in a Malaysia Super League match at Stadium Negara Hassanal Bolkiah. The visiting side scored the lone goal to claim three points.

Sabah improved to 7 wins, 12 losses and 8 draws in league play, identical to its mark across all competitions. DPMM dropped to 1 win, 6 losses and 4 draws in both the league and overall.

The result avenged Sabah’s 3-1 loss to DPMM on Dec. 20, 2025, in their most recent head-to-head meeting. Sabah entered Saturday’s contest on a high after a 5-1 victory over PDRM on May 2. DPMM last played March 15, a 3-0 defeat to Johor Darul Ta’zim.

Both teams struggled for consistency. Sabah had lost three of its previous four matches before beating PDRM. DPMM managed just one win in its last six outings across all competitions.

The match marked the second Super League meeting of the season between the clubs. DPMM has won both previous encounters dating to 2025. The victory moved Sabah up the standings while DPMM remained near the bottom.
