Late Equalizer Seals Draw in French National 1 Opener
CONCARNEAU, France (March 6, 2026) (Interstat) — Concarneau and Dijon opened their National 1 seasons with a 1-1 draw Friday at Stade Guy Piriou.
Dijon substitute Quentin Bernard opened the scoring in the 14th minute. Concarneau, which had been favored to win, pushed for an equalizer and was rewarded deep into stoppage time. Forward Sohan Baldoni scored in the sixth added minute to salvage the draw, assisted by Mathéo Ntumi. Bernard’s goal was assisted by fellow substitute Júlio Tavares.
Both Tavares and Ntumi received yellow cards in the second half. The result left each club with an identical record across all competitions: zero wins, zero losses and one draw. The final score matched the pregame projection from Interstat.
