Forest Green entered the match after a 2-1 loss at Hartlepool United on April 18, but had won three of its previous four league games. The team’s depth proved decisive on Saturday, with four different players contributing goals.
The two clubs had met earlier this season on Sept. 2, 2025, when Forest Green won 3-1 at Morecambe. That result extended Forest Green’s recent dominance in the head-to-head series.
The win keeps Forest Green in contention near the top of the National League table. Morecambe remains in the lower half and faces an uphill battle to avoid relegation.
