GATESHEAD, England (Interstat) — Woking delivered a commanding 3-0 away victory over Gateshead in a National League match Saturday at Gateshead International Stadium, defying a pregame projection of a draw.

All three goals came from second-half substitutes. Harry Beautyman opened the scoring in the 29th minute. Matt Ward doubled the lead in the 67th before Oliver Sanderson sealed the win in the sixth minute of second-half stoppage time.

Assists were provided by Louis Storey, Jamie Andrews and Joe Grayson, who each also received yellow cards. The result marked a winning start to the season for Woking, while Gateshead began its campaign with a loss.
