Crusaders, Bangor Draw 2‑2 in Northern Irish Premiership Season Opener
BELFAST, Northern Ireland (Feb. 14, 2026) (Interstat) — Crusaders and Bangor opened their Premiership campaigns with a 2-2 draw Saturday at Seaview.
The match saw two goals in a five-minute span midway through the second half. Ben Cushnie broke the deadlock for the visiting Bangor in the 50th minute, but Crusaders’ Stewart Nixon equalized just five minutes later. Neither side could find a winner.
The result defied the pre-match projection from Interstat, whose simulator had forecast a 2-1 victory for Crusaders. The firm’s ELO system gave the home side a 54.7 percent probability to win. Both clubs begin the league season with identical 0-0-1 records.
