Portadown vs Cliftonville

PORTADOWN, Northern Ireland (Interstat) — Portadown will host rival Cliftonville in a NIFL Premiership match on Saturday, looking to replicate its victory from their last meeting.

The two sides last played on Sept. 27, when Portadown secured a 2-1 away win at Solitude. That result is part of a mixed run of form for the home side, which most recently beat Carrick Rangers 2-1 last Saturday but has struggled for consistency, with losses to Larne, Glentoran and Coleraine in recent weeks.

Cliftonville arrives at Shamrock Park in stronger form, having won three of its last four league matches. That run includes a 1-0 victory over Coleraine last Saturday and a 2-0 win against Dungannon Swifts on Nov. 8. Their only recent setback was a 2-0 loss to league leaders Larne on Oct. 18.

According to the Interstat game simulator, Cliftonville is projected to avenge its earlier loss with a 2-1 victory in this fixture. The match is the first of two meetings between the clubs in quick succession, with the return fixture scheduled for Jan. 3, 2026, also at Shamrock Park.

Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. local time on Saturday.
