BELO HORIZONTE, Brazil (Interstat) — Cruzeiro and Fluminense played to a 0-0 draw Sunday in a Carioca Série A match at Estádio Governador Magalhães Pinto. The result defied pregame projections, as Interstat’s ELO system had given Cruzeiro a 94.3 percent probability to win. The match was a physical affair, with nine yellow cards issued, including early bookings for Cruzeiro’s Fabrício Bruno and Fluminense’s Facundo Bernal. Despite the stalemate, several players recorded assists in a game where neither attack could break through. Both clubs moved to 0-0-1 records in the competition.
