RB Bragantino vs Paulista
SAO PAULO (Interstat) — Two sides mired in the bottom half of the Carioca Série A table will clash Wednesday when RB Bragantino hosts Paulista.
The midweek fixture at Nabi Abi Chedid Stadium pits two teams with nearly identical, struggling records within the competition. Paulista (10-11-9) sits just one point and one place above Bragantino (9-10-7) in the standings, setting the stage for a tight contest with significant implications for the league’s lower half.
The recent form, however, favors the visitors. Paulista is coming off a confidence-boosting 2-0 victory over Gremio on Sunday. Bragantino, meanwhile, fell 2-1 to Bahia on the same day, extending a difficult run.
The head-to-head series has been evenly split this year. Bragantino won the most recent encounter 2-1 on July 13, while Paulista secured a 2-1 away win of its own on Jan. 16.
Despite Paulista’s slightly better momentum, the Interstat game simulator projects a commanding 3-0 victory for the home side. Bragantino will look to defy its recent results and validate that projection, while Paulista aims to build on its latest win and complete a league double over its rival.
Kickoff is set for Wednesday night in Bragança Paulista.
