Ceará SC vs Fluminense

FORTALEZA, Brazil (Interstat) — Fluminense looks to complete a quick double over Ceará SC when the sides meet again in a Carioca Série A fixture on Sunday, just days after their last encounter.

The clubs faced off this past Wednesday, with Fluminense securing a 1-0 home victory. They will now make the trip to Castelão Stadium for the reverse fixture.

Fluminense enters the match in stronger form within the domestic competition, holding a record of 14-5-11. Their recent results have been positive, with wins in three of their last four Carioca Série A matches, including the midweek victory over Ceará and a 1-0 result against Internacional on Oct. 25.

Ceará SC, with a 9-7-13 record in the Carioca Série A, has struggled for consistency. The team has failed to score in its last three matches across all competitions, suffering 1-0 losses to both Fluminense and Atlético Mineiro.

The home side will look to reverse that trend and find an offensive spark in front of its supporters. Ceará’s last outing at Castelão was a 3-0 victory over Santos on Oct. 5, demonstrating its potential.

According to the Interstat game simulator, Sunday’s contest is projected to end in a 1-1 draw.

Following this match, Ceará SC will host Fortaleza on Nov. 6, while Fluminense will prepare for a home match against Mirassol FC on the same date.
