BELO HORIZONTE, Brazil (Interstat) — Two sides mired in mid-table will seek a crucial victory when Atlético Mineiro hosts Ceará SC in a Carioca Série A match on Saturday.

Both teams enter the contest at Mineirão Stadium looking to rebound from shutout losses in their most recent outings. Atlético Mineiro (7-9-9) is coming off a 1-0 defeat to Paulista on Oct. 18, while Ceará (9-10-8) fell 2-0 to Botafogo on Oct. 19.

Ceará’s recent form has been inconsistent, with a 3-0 win over Santos on Oct. 5 followed by a draw and two losses. Atlético Mineiro’s league campaign has also been a struggle, managing just one win in its last five Carioca Série A matches.
