PLYMOUTH, England (March 7, 2026) (Interstat) — Plymouth Argyle opened its League One season with a 2-1 victory over Doncaster Rovers at Home Park on Saturday.

Doncaster substitute Elliot Lee opened the scoring in the 22nd minute. Plymouth responded before halftime, with forward Aribim Pepple equalizing in first-half stoppage time. Pepple then assisted Herbie Kane’s 74th-minute winner for the hosts.

The match featured 10 yellow cards. The result defied the 1-1 draw projected by Interstat’s simulator, though its system heavily favored Plymouth. Argyle begins the campaign with a win, while Doncaster starts with a loss.
