AC Sparta Praha vs Aberdeen FC

PRAGUE (Interstat) — AC Sparta Praha will look to capitalize on its strong European form and a home-pitch advantage when it hosts a struggling Aberdeen FC in a UEFA Europa Conference League match on Thursday, Dec. 18, 2025.

The Group Stage matchup at Stadion Letná pits a confident Czech side against a Scottish club desperate to reverse its fortunes in continental play.

Sparta Praha arrives having secured a 2-1 away victory over FC Universitatea Craiova on Dec. 11. The Czech First League leaders have been formidable in this competition, boasting a record of four wins and two draws across six matches this season. Their attack has been potent, including 4-1 victories over both Shamrock Rovers and Ararat-Armenia FA.

“We are in a good moment, but we respect every opponent,“ said Sparta Praha manager. “Our focus is on controlling the game from the start.“

Aberdeen, conversely, is mired in a significant scoring drought. The Dons fell 1-0 at home to RC Strasbourg Alsace on Dec. 11, extending a winless run in the Conference League. Their campaign has been defined by offensive struggles, including a 6-0 road loss to AEK Athens and two scoreless draws. Their only group stage goals came in a 2-2 draw with FCSB in August.

“The results have not been acceptable, and we must show a reaction,“ said Aberdeen’s captain. “We know the challenge in Prague, but we have to be brave.“

According to Interstat’s game simulator, the projection heavily favors the hosts, predicting a 3-0 victory for Sparta Praha. The model cites Aberdeen’s inability to score in four of its last five European fixtures and Sparta’s consistent defensive record and home-field strength.

A win for Sparta Praha would solidify its position at the top of the group. Aberdeen, sitting at the bottom of the standings, needs a positive result to keep any realistic hope of advancement alive.

Kickoff is set for 9 p.m. local time (2000 GMT).
