BIALYSTOK, Poland (Interstat) — Afimico Pululu scored the game’s lone goal in the 51st minute to lift Jag Bialystok to a 1-0 victory over Finland’s Kuopion Jalkapal in a UEFA Europa Conference League group stage match Thursday at Chorten Arena. The home side defied a low-scoring result after being heavily favored to win by statistical projections. Substitute Samuli Miettinen and defender Bernardo Vital were credited with assists on the decisive play. The win gives Jag Bialystok a perfect start to its European campaign, while Kuopion Jalkapal begins the competition with a loss.
