ROUEN, France (Interstat) — Rouen and Le Puy Foot opened their National 1 campaigns with a 0-0 draw Friday at Stade Robert Diochon.

The match, played April 17, 2026, failed to produce a goal despite several key contributions. Rouen forward Rayan Kwedi Mandengue and substitutes Maël Zogba and Renald Xhemo, along with Le Puy midfielder Jason Tré, were each credited with an assist in a game where no finishing touch followed.

Discipline waned in the second half, with four yellow cards issued between the 45th and 72nd minutes. The result left both clubs with identical records of 0 wins, 0 losses and 1 draw to start the season. The stalemate defied a pregame projection that gave Le Puy Foot a slight probability to win.
