LECCE, Italy (Interstat) — Lecce U20 hosts Hellas Verona U20 on Sunday in a Campionato Primavera 1 matchup at 4 p.m. local time, with both sides seeking consistency as the season enters its final weeks.

Hellas Verona enters the contest after a 3-1 victory over Cremonese on April 19, snapping a three-match winless run. Before that result, the visiting side had drawn with Lazio 1-1 on April 13, following losses to Bologna (1-0) and Torino (1-0). The Gialloblu’s season has featured dramatic swings, including a 7-0 defeat at Sassuolo on March 14 and a 3-1 win at Frosinone on March 8. Overall, Hellas Verona has lost eight of its last 10 league matches.

Lecce comes off a 1-0 loss at Inter on April 19, its third consecutive defeat. The Salentini were shut out 2-0 by Genoa on April 11 and fell 2-0 to Milan on April 4. Before that slide, Lecce had posted a 1-1 draw at Atalanta on March 22 and a 1-1 draw at Parma on March 16. The home side’s form has been inconsistent, with three wins, four draws and three losses in its last 10 outings.

The teams met most recently on Nov. 9, when Lecce claimed a 3-0 home victory over Hellas Verona. That result extended Lecce’s head-to-head momentum, though the simulation platform Interstat projects a 1-1 draw for Sunday’s encounter.

Following Sunday’s match, Lecce travels to Cagliari on May 1, then visits Napoli on May 9 before hosting Fiorentina on May 16. Hellas Verona hosts Napoli on May 2, visits Inter on May 9 and hosts Roma on May 16.
