LUTON, England (April 15, 2026) (Interstat) — Luton Town opened its League One campaign with a 2-1 comeback victory over Northampton Town at Kenilworth Road Stadium on Wednesday.

Sam Hoskins put the visitors ahead in the 31st minute, but Luton responded before halftime with Liam Walsh’s 43rd-minute equalizer. Defender Nigel Lonwijk assisted on the tying goal. Kal Naismith secured the win for the hosts with an 85th-minute strike, assisted by goalkeeper Josh Keeley. The match featured five yellow cards, including one to Keeley in stoppage time.

The result defied Interstat’s pregame projection of a 1-1 draw. Luton began its season with a win while Northampton started with a loss.
