Luton Town Shuts Out Rotherham United in League One Opener
ROTHERHAM, England (April 21, 2026) (Interstat) — Kasey Palmer scored twice to lead Luton Town to a 2-0 victory over Rotherham United in a League One match Tuesday at AESSEAL New York Stadium.
Palmer opened the scoring in the eighth minute and added a second just before halftime in the 44th. Midfielder James Clarke and substitute Josh Keeley each recorded an assist for Luton. The result defied a Interstat game simulator projection of a 1-1 draw, though its ELO system had favored Luton with a 62.7% win probability.
The visiting Hatters began their league campaign with a win, while Rotherham started with a loss. James Clarke of Luton, Hakeem Odoffin of Rotherham and Luton’s Keeley received yellow cards.
